Coin, token, network and address
A fictional platform accepts USDX on network A only. Your wallet holds a token called USDX on network B. Both screens show the same address format.
The platform supports A, not the stated holding on B. Matching symbols or address lengths do not resolve this mismatch. Do not treat a bridge as an automatic or risk-free solution.
Read a transaction explorer
Fictional explorer record: network A; status Successful; native value 0; token event 25 USDX sent to the intended address; execution fee 0.0004 ETH. What moved to the recipient?
The token event records 25 USDX. Zero native value does not erase that transfer, and the ETH fee is a separate movement. This fictional record does not prove a real-world identity.
Recognise a wallet scam
A fictional support message says: “Your wallet expires in ten minutes. Enter your recovery words to preserve access.” The page has the expected logo.
The recovery-word request and forced urgency are warning signs. Do not interact with that form. Verify the service independently; partial disclosure is not a safe test.
